转述句：期望、意图和承诺

转述期望丶意图和承诺

在转述一个意图丶期望或承诺时，我们会用适当的转述动词接带有 would 的 that 子句，或是接不定词子句。用在这种句型的动词包括：hope丶promise丶threaten丶guarantee 和 swear。要留意一点，当使用的是 that 子句，that 这个字就可以省略，如下列第一个例句。

"I'll pay you the money tomorrow," he said.	He promised to pay me the money the next day. 或 He promised that he would pay me the money the next day. 或 He promised he would pay me the money the next day.
"I'll be back by lunchtime," he said.	He promised to be back by lunchtime. 或 He promised that he would be back by lunchtime.
"We should arrive in London before nightfall," they said.	They hoped to arrive in London before nightfall. 或 They hoped they would arrive in London before nightfall.
"Give me the keys to the safe or I'll shoot you!" he shouted.	He threatened to shoot me if I didn't give him the keys to the safe. 或 He threatened that he would shoot me if I didn't give him the keys to the safe.
"I will not tell anyone your secret" he said.	He swore that he would not tell anyone my secret. 或 He swore not to tell anyone my secret.
